Description
ShaliSeal PS GG is based on liquid polysulphide polymers, which adhere to most of basic civil engineering materials like cementitious substrates, aluminium, glass, wood, mild steel etc. The product is used for sealing expansion joints, door-window surrounding joints & floor concrete to wall masonry separation joints etc. After mixing the base component & curing agent in given proportion rubber like material is formed. It conforms to BS 5212: 1990 Part I -Type F and Type FB (Flame and Fuel Resistance). Also complies IS 12118 Part 1 – 1987.

Application Methodology
• Surface should be fully dry, clean and free from dust, laitance, oil and grease etc.
• Clean with sand paper & wire brush, then dust and foreign particles to be removed.
Subsequently use masking tape at floor level beside both sides to get sharp edged neat and clean joint.
• Avoid adhesion of spill-over material beside the joint.
• Use polyurethane Foam (PUF) strips (equivalent) in expansion, construction & control joints as back up material to avoid 3-face adhesion and to avoid contact between joint forming board & sealant.
• Use of primer on vertical side faces of the joint is optional to ensure strong bonding between substrate and sealant. Primer must be recommended for old concrete.
• Sealant application should start after 30 minutes but not later than 2 hours after priming the surface.
• The Base and Accelerator compounds are packed in pre-weighed quantity as per the mixing ratio.
• Mix the material of individual container.
• Transfer entire quantity of Accelerator to the base compound and mix it thoroughly to a uniform and homogenous Grey colour.
• Mixing can be done manually with spatula/palette knife or special flat stirrer attached to a low speed electric mixer less than 500 rpm.

Finishing and Cleaning
Finish the joint in concave shape by using wooden batten soaked in soap water or white sprit from time to time. Remove masking tape within 30 minutes before setting of sealant. Clean tools and tackles using solvent like Xylene etc.

Health & Safety
• Shaliseal PS GG and primer may cause sensitization by inhalation and skin contact.
• Wear suitable clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Barrier creams provide additional skin protection.
• Any skin contact occurs; remove immediately with a resin removing cream, followed by soap and water. Do not use solvent.
• In case of contacts with eyes, rinse with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. Use only in ventilated areas.
• Fire: Primer is flammable. Do not expose flames or other sources of ignition. No smoking. Containers should be tightly sealed when not in use. In the event of fire, extinguish with Co2 or foam.

Packing
Available in 4 kg Container packed 16 kg carton.

Storage
Store in a cool dry place under shed away from heat.

Shelf Life
12 Months in original unopened sealed condition.

Cladseal PU (One Part Low Modulus Polyurethane Sealant) Cladseal PU (One Part Low Modulus Polyurethane Sealant)

CLADSEAL PU is an elastic, single component, gun-grade, moisture curing polyurethane sealant specifically developed to be used in building facade expansion joints where high elasticity is required.
The product is suitable for sealing joints in pre-cast elements, external walling, curtain walling and cladding, panel walls, window and door perimeter sealing etc.

Surface preparation:
Joint surfaces must be dry, clean and free of all contamination. Glass, metal and other non-porous surfaces must be free of any coatings and wiped clean with solvent. Precast panels using form-release agents other than polyethylene film must be sandblasted or mechanically abraded and dust free.

Priming:
CLADSEAL PU has excellent adhesion properties even without the use of primer on most common building materials. However, natural stone, paints, coatings and other treatments of surfaces may present a difficult surface to which to adhere. Due to the number of unpredictable natures of these substrates, a preliminary test is recommended. PU Porous Primer may be required for porous surfaces.

Application:
Recommended application temperatures: 5° - 35°C. For easier use or cold weather application we recommend the material is stored at approximately 25°C prior to use.
In order to guarantee free movement of sealant in joints, it is imperative that the sealant does not adhere to the bottom of the joint, therefore joint backer rod should be used at the proper depth.
Apply appropriate primer to joint sides and observe waiting time to avoid any air bubbles which may arise from the solvent heating under un-cured sealant.
Firmly extrude sealant into the joint making sure that it is in full contact with the sides of the joint and with the backing rod at the bottom. Keep the nozzle in the sealant, continue on with a steady flow of sealant preceeding the nozzle to avoid air entrapment. Avoid overlapping of sealant to eliminate entrapment of air.
Masking tape should be used where sharp exact joint lines or exceptionally neat lines are required. Remove the tape whilst the sealant is still soft.

Joint Width to Depth Ratio

Notes:
Do not apply in presence of curing silicones
Do not apply when moisture-vapour-transmission condition exists from the substrate as this can cause bubbling of the sealant
Avoid air entrapment when applying

Health and Safety
Ensure that protective gloves, overalls and protective footwear are worn at all times when handling the material. Avoid skin contact. Should the material come in contact with the skin it may be removed with soap and warm water. If discomfort continues, seek medical advice.
